How to LIVE healthy using Science, not Myth
Ronald Stern, M.D.
What People are Saying about 'Die Healthy!'
In one word, "Wow!" I truly enjoyed this book. Dr. Stern has written for those with an average understanding of health and nutrition, with added information for those who want to delve a little deeper. For years I have read articles and listened to new casts citing research involving diet, exercise, and healthy lifestyle. As many of you know, much of this information is confusing and contradictory. Most cited studies seem to be too restrictive in scope and done in isolation of other factors. Cholesterol is bad! Cholesterol is good! Carbs are good! Carbs are bad! All this information and, yet, we are becoming less healthy and more obese. Clearly, something is not right.
Dr. Stern has reviewed volumes of scientific studies (randomized, controlled trials) as well as systematic reviews and meta-analyses (combining the results of several studies to develop conclusions). Thanks to Dr. Stern with his extensive medical experience and scientific knowledge, we have this information available to us in an easy-to-read, fact not myth, road map to better heath. Dr. Stern first explains the principles of good nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle – then clearly shows how all three are necessary for true “wellness.”
I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to cut through the myths and get to the real facts. Thank you, Dr. Stern, for creating this book so that we may all benefit from your expertise

As a practicing Nurse Practitioner, I am interested in a healthy life for both me and my patients. The amount of information available is overwhelming and often not based on science. What I appreciated most about this book are the levels of understanding at which it is written. For us science geeks, there are chemical diagrams and a totally understandable explanation of food for everyone. The author discusses the importance of a healthy diet, discusses disease, exercise, emotional health, and meditation. He emphasizes the total person, not an unrealistic diet. If you are looking to die healthy, this is the book for you!

An excellent read, best used as a tool for making personal choices if your looking to evaluate and modify your lifestyle. My personal interest was to keep inflammation from controlling my quality of life. This book gives facts & experiences that can be applied to how you can make choices to live a healthy lifestyle.
